23rd October 2012
... Comments

This is an initial call out Chesterfield is launching a new four-day Community Arts Festival over the early May Bank Holiday; if you are a local artist or belong to a community group and you would like to showcase or exhibit your work, perform or create something for the Festival then you can be included in the programme.

Groups across Chesterfield can join and shocase their skills alongside commissioned artists and professional performers:

  • Bands
  • Singers
  • Dancers
  • Performers
  • Actors
  • Artists
  • Craftspeople
  • Schools
  • Community Groups

The Pomegranate Theatre and Winding Wheel will be at the centre of the action, with live music and performance spreading out across the town to include halls and open spaces, cafes and pubs.

During the event the aim is to reflect and celebrate our vibrant, lively CREATIVE town. The new Festival will be innovative, forward looking, inclusive and accessible.

So if you are a:

  • Performer, artist or community group who would like to be involved;
  • Place in town – shop, cafe, pub or other venue who would like to host a creative activity – it could be giving over some wall space to display art; holding a workshop or hosting a performance.

Then we would love to hear from you and for
you to join in?
