1,616 spireite fans made up the crowd of 8,257, hoping for result against a team with a new manager in charge Keith Curle, since the last time they met. The surprise for the Spireites was the full debut of Tendayi Darikwa coming in at right back. Juan and Westcarr both returned to the team after injuries, Lowry was also back in the team.

Both teams got into their stride straightaway with Lee Hughes clipping the woodwork after 7 minutes. Spireites were winning the midfield battles but failing to create any real chances. Juan was dominating the midfield with his ball skills, but was injured after by careless challenge from Montano, sadly the frenchman had to come off a five minutes later, being replaced by Bowery. Half time 0-0.

Hughes had a shot saved from Lee, which went for a corner, spireites managed to clear it and break clear. Morgan set up Bowery with only the keeper to beat, his shot was saved by Nelson. Lester forced a fine save from Nelson on 75, a lucky deflection left Forte clear and he scored past Lee, to put them 1 nil up.

It stayed 1-0 to send Spireites back to the bottom, a match that could have gone either way, if the spireites had been more clinical it could have been a different story. To say Notts County are above mid table there wasn't much between the sides. Darikwa played really well, and should be proud of himself.

Next table toppers Charlton at Home, a draw would be a good result against a Championship bound team. Then it's Tranmere at home, which Town must win, so hopefully 4 points from the next two games would get us off bottom and closer to safety.
