Sheridan sick as a Parrott as Spireites lose again.

John Sheridan is sick of having to repeat himself, because the team are still making the same basic defensive mistakes. The Spireites are now in a relegaton dogfight having lost to Exeter in a game that could have gone either way. Two mistakes gifting them 2 goals, not taking up their positions for the first corner and then not being switched on when their substitute came on, so conceding the second goal.

Leyton Orient is now a must win game, as Leyton Orient are bottom with no points with the Spireites just a place above with only one point. Having managed to bring in 3 players this week, they all started against Exeter. Grounds partnered Ford in defence, Johnson and allott made up the centre midfield with Boden and Westcarr playing upfront.

It was 1-1 at half time, Whittaker converting a penalty after Coles handled a cross by Boden. Westcarr came close to scoring after rounding the keeper, but the angle was to acute for him to score, so his shot just went straight across the goal. Boden also went close in the second half, Boden again had another good game. The new players all played well, and look like they fit in well with the team.

Hopefully there will be a big turn out for the home game against Leyton Orient, to cheer the spireites on to victory and first 3 points of the season. The club are still awaiting for international clearance for Mendes. Rumours that a striker from Bolton will arriving soon.
