ReWork, the FREE redundancy programme from Retail Trust, (worth over £1,000) is continuing to help redundant and unemployed retailers through a range of free services, including a Downloadable Guide, Personal Career Coaching and Workshops.

In addition to the Guide to Resolving Redundancy, which is downloadable online or available through the Retail Trust Helpline 0808 801 0808, ReWork offers:

Personal Career Coaching

Professional coaching is recognised as one of the most effective ways of helping people to define what they need to achieve their career and personal objectives. Retail Trust offers up to three FREE telephone coaching sessions with a professional coach who will help people work through career options, prepare their CVs and get them ready for interviews. Coaches can also help deal with personal and practical problems that can arise with redundancy and re-employment.

As featured in The Times, just one success of Personal Career Coaching from ReWork was Frank Sendler, who was recruited by The Crew Clothing Co. He was made redundant from a high street retailer.

Frank Sendler says:

“I hadn’t known anything about the trust before, but they have been fantastic. Their help gave me a polished CV and confidence to do well at interview and now I’ve secured another retail job, at Crew Clothing, with good money and in a more responsible role. I’m really enjoying it – more so than my previous job.”

Resolving Redundancy Workshops

For the ReWork programme, Retail Trust holds free workshops each month that give redundant retailers practical help from professional trainers. These interactive sessions enable people to meet other like-minded people and network. Each workshop is led by a professional trainer and has a specific theme.

Roz Roper, has recently been recruited as Global Category Manager Food at Crabtree & Evelyn. She said:

“I found the sessions really informative and it was great to meet others in a similar situation from the different sectors of retail. Each of the workshops was a positive experience and helped with the preparation and groundwork for future interviews.”

This month’s workshop is on 24th November in London: ‘Networking for Career Change' will be led by Executive Coach & Management Consultant, Patrick Ballin. See the agenda.

Sign up for the Workshop at www.retailtrust.org.uk/signup or by calling the Retail Trust Helpline 0808 801 0808.

Thanks to the coaches donating their time, Retail Trust is able to offer the workshops and coaching free to anyone who has worked in retail for two years or more and whose job has recently been made redundant.
