Ghostly Castle at Night
On both Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October you have the opportunity to explore Bolsover Castle after dark, if you dare!  Places are limited so you need to buy your ticket in advance, just follow the link above for more information.


Ashgate Hospice Halloween Ball
Halloween will be hitting the Winding Wheel in Chesterfield for the Ashgate Hospice Halloween Ball on Saturday 27th October from 7.30pm.  Your ticket price includes arrival drinks, a three course meal and fantastic live music.  Your tickets need to be booked in advance so please call the Fundraising Team on 01246 567250.
 

Paranormal Spooktacular at the Hardwick Estate
During this paranormal evening on Saturday 27th October you can enjoy a guided tour of Hardwick Hall with a chilling difference and a 2 course meal.  Tickets must be puchased in advanced.
 

Spooktacular Sponsored Stroll
Join with the family to take part in this charity walk with a twist, through the beautiful grounds of Chatsworth House: the Spooktacular Sponsored Stroll is in aid of Cancer Research UK.  Witch walk will you do?  Choose between two routes, the 'Bat' walk (approx 5km) and the 'Witch' walk (approx 10km).  You can register today by following this link.

Time Travellers Go…Ghosts and Ghouls
Throughout half-term from Monday  29th October to Friday 2nd November, let your little horrors scare themselves silly this Halloween with the creepy crafts, spooky activities and ghost hunting galore, going on at Bolsover Castle.


Spooky Events at Holmebrook Valley Park
Take your pick from a ghoulish Halloween Treasure Hunt on Tuesday 30th October or Wild Art on Thursday 1st November, booking is essential as places are limited.

 

Halloween Hauntings at Tapton Lock Visitor Centre
There are lot’s of spooks to be had at Tapton Lock on the scariest day of the year.  During the day head on down with your little terrors in fancy dress and make a willow Halloween lantern to light your way in the spookiest night of the year! Booking is essential 

All aboard the Ghost Boat!!  Step aboard John Varley, the Chesterfield Canal Trust trip boat, to hear ghostly tales of the towpath - dare you listen? Come dressed to scare!  Trips will take place at 6.00pm, 6.45pm and 7.30pm, each trip will last approximately 40 minutes. Booking essential


Photo-shoot for your Ghosts and Witches
Wings Photography will be braving the scariest night of the year and throwing open the studio doors, so why not take along your little creatures for their photograph taken?  Prints will be available to purchase on the night too.

 

Halloween Walk around the Hardwick Estate
Come along on Wednesday 31st October and experience spooky stories and tales from Hardwick’s past. This will be your chance to encounter eerie characters as you explore the grounds of Hardwick Hall.
 

Ghost Tour at Bolsover Castle
Join our eerie evening tour around the castle after dark on the spookiest night of the year. Listen to tales of dark deeds, ghostly apparitions and scary happenings. Who knows what you might see on All Hallows Eve… Booking tickets highly recommended.


Chesterfield Ghost Walk
A 1½ hour trip into Chesterfield’s Twilight Zone where you will listen to stories of strange sounds, shocking shades and supernatural slaughters.  If you dare, you can 'enjoy' this walk on Wednesday 31st October, Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November!
