Don't let your loved ones miss out this Christmas... Last Posting Dates

The Post Office enjoys its busiest time of the year at Christmas Time but to be sure your loved ones do not miss out on your Xmas Gifts or messages ensure you post in advance of the 'Last Posting Date'.

UK Delivery
First class cards need to be sent by Tuesday 20th December and second class by Saturday 17th but to avoid any issues when you go to post your Christmas cards, make sure they fit the Royal Mail's size guide.

If you do miss these dated then the Special Delivery deadline is December 22nd, and you can still post albeit it will be more expensive for ‘Saturday Guarantee’ on the 23rd December.

Parcels need to be sent by no later than December 14th 2011, unless you are willing to pay more for Parcelforce Express prices.

International Deliveries
Airmail is only available until December 5th if you’re sending to a destination outside either Europe and the USA.  For posting to Eastern Europe, Canada and the USA you have until December 9th and the 12th for addresses in Western Europe.

Armed Forces
If a loved one is stationed overseas, it is vital that cards and gifts get through!  The final posting date is this Friday 2nd December for those that are operational, so you need to post urgently if you have not already done so.  If your loved one is static then the British Force Post Office has given the final posting date of Thursday 15th December.

However, as always though, the earlier you send your letters and gifts, the better, so get started on those cards now!
