Another good team performance as they beat Carlisle 4-1 with Clarke scoring his first ever hat trick and Westcarr scoring the other. The new players have galvanised the team, they are all playing well together.
They are working hard for each other and enjoying their football, after a poor start the team have the belief and ability to be a real force this season. The fans have been superb, getting behind the team at every game.
Di Canio's loss is the Spireites gain, Clarke is once again loving his football, playing for a Manager that he respects. Scoring 5 in 3 games, the fans couldn't have asked for more, he holds the ball up well and takes up good positions in the box.
Mendy has been awesome, he has a superb touch, a good passer of the ball, can run past players with ease. Worth the admission price to watch him and he isn't fully fit yet.
Grounds has strengthened the Defence, helping the team to get 3 clean sheets in 4 games. He links up well with midfield, often turning the defence into attack.
Johnson has made a big difference in the centre of Midfield, wins the ball back and rarely makes a bad pass.
Westcarr has started to build up a good partnership with Clarke, providing opportunities and scoring them.
Charlton are the Spireites next opponents, although they are sitting on top of the league, although they have won all four away games, they have only won 2 and drawn 2 at home. So if they take the Spireites for granted, they could be punished.
With Charlton only charging £5 to get in, a crowd of 25,000 is expected. This could be some game, I can see it being a high scoring game, with both teams capable of creating and scoring lots of goals.
I am a blogger for the Derbyshire Times living in Chesterfield. I like to write about the Spireites, whom i follow Home and Away. I will be writing on here, about the season ahead, Match previews, Reports...
