Chesterfield Garden of Light 2011

This evening Queens Park will come alive for the final time, as part of the Chesterfield Arts and Market Festival and the Garden of Light and Lantern Parade spectacular grand finale.

We visited last night and with more lights than ever, the Garden of Light is the biggest and the best so far.  There is so much to see and do and keep the entire family happy!

There is a vintage funfair complete with a big wheel, helter-skelter, merry go round and other rides and traditional funfair activities.  You can enjoy a free trip around the lake on the miniature train, see the forest of flags and check out the weird and wonderful sculptures.

Last night we enjoyed music on the bandstand from the Pantonic All Stars Steel Band and this evening you appreciate the sound of the Nottingham School of Samba Band and Calidoscopio Carnival Drummers!

A Fire Juggling Spectacular entertained the crowds last night before the aerial fireworks.  This evening though you will see the spectacular of the Chesterfield Lantern Parade which will arrive at around 7 pm.  The evening will finish with the aerial firework display.

The fun takes place again this evening from 6.30pm-9.30pm, if you haven’t any plans yet, definitely fun for all.  You can get your tickets all day from Chesterfield Tourist Information Centre and save £1 on the gate price.
