Back for a 9th year Chesterfield Arts and Market Festival 2012 sure does have something for everyone.  The only problem will be picking and choosing what to do! Here is the full line up of events to look forward to!

 


Thursday 1 November 2012

Flea Market with 40s theme: 9am -4 pm
There will be 1940s entertainment to be performed around the main market and market traders will wear 1940s clothing.  There will also be some 1940s vehicles and weaponary displayed. 

Festival Bargain Hunt:  10 am-2.30 pm
James Lewis and David Harper will begin rummaging through the market with their teams (team Mayor and team Mayoress) and find some items of value that they can auction outside the Market Pub at 2 pm.  

A Touch of Glass:  10 am-4 pm

Go West!  10 am-4 pm

Crooked Spire Tours:  11 am-4.15 pm

Organ Recital by Ian Brackenbury:  12.15 pm-1 pm

Dance Workshop - Salsa, Cha Cha Cha & Tango:  5 pm-7 pm

Ghost Walk:  6.30 pm-8 pm

The Ghost's Touch:  7.30 pm

TangoMotion:  8 pm

Market Pub Mini Beer Festival:  8 pm-11 pm

 

Friday 2 November 2012

General Market:  9 am-4 pm

Antique Valuation:  10 am-12 noon

Art Competition - Images of Chesterfield:  10 am-3.15 pm

Children's Market:  10 am-4 pm 
There will be approximately 15 child traders in the main market, near the water pump, along with children’s characters attending from 10 am to 4 pm along with a face painter and caricaturist. 

A Touch of Glass:  10 am-4 pm

Crooked Spire Tours:  11 am-4.15 pm

Derwent Valley Mills: World Heritage Site:  2 pm-3.30 pm

Dance Workshop - Lindy Hop:  5 pm-7 pm

Ghost Walk:  6.30 pm-8 pm

Jeremy Hardy:  7.30 pm

Hannah James & Sam Sweeney + Support:  7.30 pm-10.15 pm

Swinging at the Cotton Club:  8 pm

Market Pub Mini Beer Festival:  8 pm-11 pm

 


Saturday 3 November 2012

General Market:  9 am-4 pm

Just a Taste Market:  10 am-4 pm
There will be approximately 11 local food providers / restaurants giving away free tasters and information about their business. In addition to this, there will be a sausage competition at the hot dog stall in the main market, local butchers will compete to become the best tasting Chesterfield sausage.  The Mayor will open this competition at 11 am and the winner will be announced at 2 pm along with the winner of the best Market Trader for 2012.
