The North Derbyshire Chargers have become the latest club to sign up on the Featherstone Rovers ambassadors scheme which will see Rovers' Players and Staff work with the club in 2014 to deliver a range of activities.

The Chargers have so far signed up their Primary Rugby League, Under 12s and Under 14/15s squads to take part in the initiative, which continues a long history of collaboration between the clubs.

Amongst the exclusive extras which the Chargers wlll now receive are:

Coach the Coach Workshops

Two Free events will run throughout the year by the Featherstone Rovers Community Team including guest sessions with the Rovers coaching staff. The main focuses of these sessions are to give coaches a different outlook on the different factors within Rugby League and give an insight into the professional coaching procedures used to achieve success.

Player Adoption

Each club team will choose a Rovers 1st Team player to adopt and on the day your team play a curtain raiser your chosen player will be waiting for a meet and greet. Your chosen player will also attend your clubs presentation evening (Subject to availability & player appearance policy).

Pre-Match Stadium Tours

On game day before your pre-match training session your team will receive a tour of the Big Fellas Stadium, a chance to see all the behind the scenes facilities and a chance to visit the players dressing room and our brand new elite training facility, where you can take pictures and see your favourite players shirts waiting to be worn.

Education Nights

Throughout the year you will be invited down to the Big Fellas Stadium for an education night which will be run by a member of the 1st team squad and the Rovers community team, the focus of this education night is to give an insight into professional player's health & active lifestyles. It will be a chance to show your team what they can achieve if they not only look after themselves on the pitch but off it as well and hopefully for your team to gain some invaluable knowledge.

Pre-Match Training Session & Half Time Game (Guard of Honour, Signed Ball, Certificates, Competitions, Winning Team Trophy)

On your chosen game day the Featherstone Rovers community team will run a pre-match fun and games training session, followed by a game at half time. The winning team at half time will be presented with a trophy and all participants will take home a certificate for taking part. Both teams on the day will make the guard of honour for the 1st team game and receive a signed ball to display within your clubhouse.

The Chargers are due to announce more collaborations as the 2014 develops and are currently recruiting to all age groups and ability levels.
