Chesterfield Relate - Advent Tips

With presents to buy for partners, children, relatives and friends, Christmas can really add up. Add to that the additional cost of feeding your family over the festive season – money pressures can be huge.

The most important thing is to budget and not to overspend if you can help it. When you see the perfect present, it’s often hard to resist, but if you stick to a spending limit, you will avoid racking up mountains of debt.

You could consider getting a pre paid spending card to do all of your Christmas shopping with which will help you limit your spending. Or if you have a smart phone, why not download a budgeting app to keep track and make use of some of the supermarket vouchers around.

If you stay in control of your finances you will certainly enjoy Christmas a lot more and there will be less need to be anxious about the bills in January.

This year, Relate is taking part in the Give as you Live 'All I Want for Christmas' Campaign’.

This means that you can now shop for gifts and food online for Christmas this year - and help to raise money for Relate at the same time.

There are many big high street brands to choose from that offer discounts and special offers – and when you shop with them – they donate a percentage of the money you spend to Relate – at no extra cost to you! Win Win! - http://www.giveasyoulive.com/relate
