Transition Cleeve is the energy-focused movement that encourages positive visions of a future after fuel. Since setting up in 2009, the organisation holds many events serving the village of Bishops Cleeve and its neighbouring areas of Woodmancote, Southam, Teddington, Oxenton, Gotherington and Stoke Orchard.

With the emphasis on fossil fuels and energy conservation becoming more prominent, Transition Cleeve is imperative to making changes in the local area. Their projects span from community allotments, education on renewable energy, ecological house improvements and the importance of understanding waste and recycling.

Upcoming events are advertised online and through the email subscription as well as being marketed in key areas through the village. The website, which serves as a point of contact, provides energy saving advice and information on past events. Groups and discussions are regularly held on the topics of growing your own food, transport, waste reduction, economy support, and community development. More information can be obtained through the email newsletters.

Transition Cleeve also offers the hire of electricity monitors to measure the amount of electricity used by specific items. To borrow one of these monitors or to subscribe to the email newsletters please contact Transition Cleeve at info@transitioncleeve.org.uk
