Lizzie’s Barn is a small, completely independent, family-run rescue in South Wales. Being a rural area there are insufficient homes for all of our dogs and so we will home our dogs throughout the UK to very good homes provided we are able to arrange a home check. All of our dogs will have been neutered and we offer advice for as long as is needed. We also need sponsors for our long term residents, so if you can’t adopt, but would like to help, please contact us either by email or by phone.

At Lizzie’s Barn we have a specially converted barn, which we use in preference to kennels, surrounded by 10 acres for exercise. Some of our dogs will stay with us forever due to old age or ill-health, while others like those listed on our dogs needing homes page are ready to go to new homes.

Much of our work is with abandoned dogs and with puppies rejected by other organisations. The sanctuary is able to offer them the rich social experience, mixing with people and other dogs which is essential for their development.

Homes Needed

Due to the volume of calls we receive, to speed up your enquiry please make your initial enquiries by email. We will require you to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire before we can proceed.

E-mail - rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com. If you really can’t email, then please telephone Fionna on 07976 538 588 & be prepared to leave a message.

NB: You will not gain any advantage by telephoning, everyone needs to complete the questionnaire, dogs go to the best home for them, not the first to enquire.

All applicants will be vetted, & will need to be able to travel to the Sanctuary near Kidwelly, South Wales.
