Did you know that dementia affects 1 in 3 people over the age of 60 in the U.K?
Do you have a friend or loved one that will benefit from the support of The Alzheimer’s Society?
Would you like to get involved?

Towards the end of July (20th, 21st, 22nd) Handel Davies will be cycling a total distance of 210 miles over three days to raise money for the support of those with dementia.

Dementia is an umbrella term that describes the loss of brain function that occurs because of the onset of certain diseases.  The most common of which is Alzheimer’s disease. This affects memory, thinking, language, judgment, and behavior and once the brain is impaired it cannot be reversed.  This condition, as anyone who has been affected will know, is particularly heartbreaking to witness.
Handel will be cycling from Llandovery Rugby Club to Ruislip Rugby Club and all money raised will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.

The Alzheimer’s Society funds a unique research programme the researches the cause, cure, care and prevention of Alzheimer’s.  It is dedicated to the often tricky early diagnosis of dementia and provides essential support to the carers of sufferers of Alzheimer’s.
