Paul Groom of Groom Property Maintenance, recently participated in Movember by growing a beard during the month of November. Why you may ask? It was to raise awareness for Prostate Cancer.
Most of us have been touched personally by cancer or have a family member who has suffered one or other of the many cancers that besiege mankind. Prostate Cancer is one of those cancers not talked about very much. I wonder if it is because it is a cancer that effects men and they either do not wish to acknowledge the possibility of having it or it is a “manly thing” and so do nothing about it until too late. Whatever the reason people like Paul Groom should be applauded for bringing it to our attention and we also thank Sharon (his wife) for encouraging him despite preferring Paul clean shaven!
