Last Tuesday saw a joint networking event between the bestof Carmarthen and thebestof Neath. It was a truly great evening. Nearly a hundred people across a wide range of businesses attended. It was held at the premises of an innovative business called the Learning Partnership of Wales (www.tlpwales.co.uk ) located in Tycroes near Ammanford. (nearly the most easterly town of thebestof Carmarthen)
After a superb presentation by Glenda Dudley of the Learning Partnership, networking began in earnest. Business cards were exchanged, questions asked, questions answered, help suggested and given. I know on the night Chris Elwell from Dial a Dog Wash.was speaking with Mark from CPT Solutions Apparently Mark has dogs that would benefit from Chris's services but also Mark is involved with a dogs charity. You can see the link and possibilities. As the event was held at the Learning Partnerships premises, everybody was able to wander around the resource centre which is open to the public. A wonderful aladdins cave of learning materials for the under 11s. There were toys, dolls houses, themed creative learning materials such as a fully fitted kitchen but in minature to suit the under 11s - even had a real cheese grater but in minature. So dinky!! There were themes on the outdoors, construction, nature. You name it - it was there.
Other businesses that attended were Grass Roots, a brilliant painter and decorator - in fact we must ask John for some hints and tips. I saw Rhys and Adriana from G W Tiles talking to Russell of Sapphire Windows. GW Tiles are opening a brand new Kitchen showroom this evening at a launch party (Friday 24th October) I will tell you more about that later next week and I will ask Adriana for some hints and tips on kitchen design.
