Nett 58 Wins Glyn Abbeys Junior Open!!
Glyn Abbey Junior Open Day was a massive success with a fantastic 69 entrants from numerous local clubs including Trefloyne, Cardigan, Machynys, Ashburnham, Carmarthen, Aberystwyth, Tenby and Derllys Court.
New junior organiser and Glyn Abbey’s own community development officer Olivia Martin prepared tremendously well for the day by involving juniors of all levels, abilities and ages, making full use of the clubs facilities with competitions on both courses.
The best score of the day came from promising15 year old junior Aaron Macdonald (Glyn Abbey) with an outstanding nett score 58! Gareth Bowen (Glyn Abbey) took Best gross with 75.
Nia Greville (Ashburnham) won best girls nett and Olivia Bradbury (Tenby) won best girls stableford. Daniel Brice (Ashburnham) won best boys stableford with an impressive 44 points. Glyn Abbey members Oliver Lewis and Lucy Davies won the boys and girls 9 hole improvers competions. Rhodri Cole, Osian Williams, Kenan James were all winners on the Mission Course competiton.
The newly completed club house was jam packed for the presentation. Olivia Martin thanked all the children for turning up thanked Mike Davies Head Professional and Martin Lane Manager Director for their help and support. .
