While the crisis in milk prices will surely still be a big talking point at the Welsh Dairy Show in October, the event will nevertheless be a great showcase for the cream of the dairy industry in Wales.
Important date in the calendar
The one day annual event is on October 20th this year, held as always at the United Counties Showground, just outside Carmarthen.
It’s one of the most important dates in the Welsh dairy farmer's calendar and combines a comprehensive trade show with an exhibition of top quality dairy cattle. The show is one-stop shop for farmers to keep in touch with their buyers, advisers and other industry organisations.
And it’s a showcase for the best cheese, fresh milk and a variety of wonderful Welsh farm products, as well as for an extensive display of agricultural machinery and equipment.
The Show attracts the best there is in pedigree breeding circles too. It’s a great day out for everyone associated with the dairy industry, whether as farmer, food producer, cheesemaker, or consumer.
The 80 acre showground site is alongside the main A40 dual carriageway and there is easy access from the main road for exhibitors and visitors.
