Octavo's Book Shop, Cafe and Wine Bar
Octavo's Book Cafe and Wine Bar is located in the heart of Cardiff Bay’s creative quarter and is the latest venture for Award-winning independent publishers Accent Press. The book café officially opened by Sunday Times bestselling author Katie Fforde on June 4th 2016
The 120m2 book café is located in the ground floor of an old Victorian hotel on West Bute Street in Cardiff Bay. Accent Press’s new independent publishing company Octavo is located in the same building.
Hazel Cushion, founder and Managing Director of Accent Press said she felt the timing was right for a vibrant book café in an area that offers a mix of up-market residents and office workers. “We are planning to create a creative hub for the community and visitors that offers good food, coffee, wine and books.”
From a wide general fiction range to science-fiction, fantasy, crime, non-fiction, erotica and a well-stocked childrens' section (YA, 8-12yrs, 5-8yrs & picture books), Octavo's has a book to suit all tastes.
Cafe and Wine Bar
The food offering concentrates on local produce and a fresh summer menu as well as a weekend brunch menu. This will be supplemented by special gourmet and themed pop-up nights in the 40-seater café.
