Streets of Canterbury Come Alive
22nd June 2010
... Comments

As the New Marlowe Theatre prepares for its 'Topping Out', an event will take place on Saturday 26th June to help celebrate the progress of this extensive development project. When the roof is set in place during construction, it's the home stretch as it were, the final fixes and details to come.

The streets of Canterbury will come to life to celebrate this for The New Marlowe Theatre, with a free street theatre event.

There will have plenty for all the family to enjoy. With galloping cuckoos, daring stiltwalkers, and an Edwardian gentleman sailing up Canterbury High Street - plus many more performers.

And you can find out all about the new theatre project by coming to the site of the theatre in The Friars. Members of the project team will be there to tell you about its progress and you'll be able to see pictures of the development so far.

Events take place between The Friars and Canterbury High Street between 11am and 2pm, providing ideal Saturday entertainment.
