A free-of-charge online service, JobShop has thousands of skilled individuals seeking job opportunities. It allows employers to instantly advertise their vacancies to a broad range of students and graduates, and can be used alongside, or as a replacement for existing recruitment activities. Whether it's a part-time job, a graduate position, vacation work or work experience and volunteering, the JobShop will be able to help source the right person for the job opportunity.

 

Launched in February 2010 by Canterbury Christ Church University's Employability and Careers Services, JobShop enables employers to recruit students and graduates, a large proportion of which are looking to start successful careers with organisations in Canterbury and the surrounding areas. There couldn't be an easier way to recruit skilled people enthusiastic about South East business.

 

Mark Pollard, of Mercedes-Benz specialists Vikings of Canterbury was so impressed with the service; "I was looking for one member of staff and ended up employing two!" he said. "JobShop has helped me many times over and I fully intend to use it again and again."

 

In addition to the website, there is a dedicated JobShop team to provide advice and guidance to employers on how to access and make the most of this free service to promote any job opportunities they may have, including assistance with submitting your employment vacancies, attracting the maximum possible interest in these vacancies and placement, internship and volunteering opportunities.
