At A.J. Sellman Funeral Directors we offer traditional funerals with modern funeral vehicles and a full selection of coffins together with Horse Drawn, Military, Motorbike and Non religious or Celebration of Life - funerals all individually arranged to your requirements.
We have a special bereavement suite that can be used for a number of purposes. A private service chapel for those who wish to have a non religious service, or a venue for refreshments after a funeral.
Three Chapels of Rest are available where you may have special time to spend with your loved one.
We are able to arrange flowers on your behalf for that special tribute by our own florists.
Our funeral home and its staff follow the established code of practice set out by the National Association of Funeral Directors.

Thanks for taking care of my uncle Daves funeral. You were so kind and went above and beyond what was expected. You took great care of aunty Wendy and Rebecca was so kind and down to earth . Our visit to see Dave was beautiful. If he was here he would be so proud. Can't thank you enough. Kind regards

Not sure whether it is a new policy but neither the men who arrived to take my Mum away or Jade in the office offered any condolences whatsoever which myself & family thought odd. On the day of the funeral Ralph was very good apart from insisting the pallbearers sat on the front row of the church. I said I would like to sit by my husband & my daughter. Not unreasonable I think on such an occasion. My son-in-law went & sat by his wife but sat on the end of the pew enabling him to return to the coffin quickly. My two nephews, the other pallbearers, could easily have sat in the second row as the rows behind were obviously empty. Then there wouldn’t have been the excess of people on the front row. I think just a little foresight was needed. But many thanks for an otherwise excellent service on such a dreadful day weatherise.

My husband died earlier this year, and I am pleased to be able to highly recommend Selmanʼs Funeral Directors. They were sensitive to all our family needs, highly organised and professional whilst at the same time being very approachable and helpful on a personal level. No request was too great for them to handle. And finally, the all important part that no-one likes to mention, their charges were very reasonable.

Many thanks to Edward, Rebecca and the team for the caring and compassionate oversight of my Dad's funeral. They were extremely professional throughout and made it the best it could be. Edward went the extra mile on the day of the funeral and made sure my Mom was comfortable as she has mobility issues. We would wholeheartedly recommend.

As a family, we have nothing but positive words for all the staff at Sellman’s for all the support they gave us through the process of organising and arranging the celebration of life for my mum Maxine Shirley. Mum had not left us with any details for a funeral and in fact she didn’t want one so when we arrived to see Julie at Cheslyn Hay we had nothing to work from. Julie spent nearly 3 hours going through all of the process and arrangements so we left with a clear idea of what would happen. She was compassionate and empathetic and gave use the time and space to express our grief which was so appreciated. We felt valued and were able to centre Mum and what she was like as a person. We had particular requests over caskets and Julie made sure to go the extra mile to accommodate this. Edward was a complete rock for all of us and I can not speak highly enough of him. He came to speak to us as a family before the celebration to get an idea of the order of service and to make sure his words were appropriate for Mum. He gave advice and time to me as I wanted to deliver the tributes from both my dad and my sisters and myself. His calm disposition was a great help to my dad especially. His words were perfectly pitched for mum and the other attendees at the funeral had nothing but praise for him. I feel we were very fortunate to have Edward as our officiant/celebrant. It felt like in all of our meetings and time with Edward that we were the most important people in the world and that he would do all he could to make sure we were able to have the right send off for Mum. As a family we can say that this is not something you want to think about but the service we received from Sellman’s was amazing.

Ralph and his team were very professional but also compassionate in all matters relating to my mothers funeral, I would highly recommend A J Sellmans and would not consider anyone else should our family need funeral services again, they were exceptional.

We cannot thank Edward, Jade and all the team at AJ Sellman enough for all that they have done to support us following Darren's sudden passing. From the moment we met, Jade and Edward treated us with compassion, dignity, respect and the utmost kindness. Edward took all worry from us in arranging to bring Darren into their care and we felt reassured to know he was treated with the same dignity and kindness. Nothing felt too much trouble, advice and information was given at a pace that felt right and not overwhelming. We were given time and support to make decisions and never felt rushed. On the day of the funeral, Edward's kindness, professionalism and attention to detail were second to none and he delivered the most beautiful service. You made an incredibly difficult time so much easier and we cannot thank you enough. You are wonderful people who are perfect for the job that you do.

From the initial contact, the Sellman staff displayed a professional, deliberate, and considerate approach to the care of our beloved mother, nan and great nan. Their attentive and expert approach to questions and requests, together with their overall reception of the family helped ease the way. In particular, Edward respectfully assisted with understanding, and his thoughtful approach steered us through to the beautiful service at Heath Hayes crematorium, which he delivered superbly, and in a way that was personal. The light and memorable touches from Edward and the team won’t be forgotten. They are applauded and highly recommended.
