'The Taming Of The Shrew' 1590-1592 was no doubt controversial in it's infancy as indeed it is today. There have been many ingenious groundbreaking interpretations during recent years. Our vision? A feisty tale of passionate Elizabethan love!

A classic Elizabethan love story, a brilliant, exciting tale of passion, power, and wit!


Padua, Italy c1590. Baptista Minola has two daughters, Katharina the elder and fair Bianca. Bianca has many suitors yet Baptista will not agree her marriage until Katharina ’The Curst’ first be wed.

Enter Petruchio looking for a wealthy wife. Can he subdue Katharina’s legendary temper and win her dowry?

With a full cast of ten costumed in Elizabethan style with live music and dance, this fantastic show is suitable for all the family. The performance is preceded by an inclusive, fun and educational event.

We are super excited to be returning to the beautiful orchards for our third year of Shakespeare performance. We love the team and management who support us greatly at this unique and colourful venue. The gardens are open throughout the day and the refreshments available here are superb.
