Up to 43,000 residents across Cambridge and the region as a whole will benefit from a new super-fast broadband upgrade due this summer.

The plans announced by BT as part of their 1.5 billion pound plan to improve internet access across the country sees Cambridgeshire join the esteemed ranks of just 20 other areas across the UK to be upgraded to the new super-fast broadband.

The new broadband, which offers much faster download speeds, will give a major advantage to businesses across the region, including better access to internet services, enhanced communications such as high definition video conferencing and online file storage.
