Featuring the Alteri Choir who were formed in 1995 by members of the Halle. Directed by David Jones from the Royal Northern College of Music they are supported by the Japanese organist, Aya.
This Spring Concert has a theme of "the Earth we Share" and includes rare and very moving, accompanied performances of Nimrod and Finlandia. There will also be organ solos of Bach's mesmeric Choral Prelude on 'In dulci jubilo' in addition to Elgar's beautiful Chanson de Matin. There will also be a range of exquisitely crafted a cappella songs.
The concert is being accomodated in the magnificent setting of St John's Knutsford and is helping East Cheshire Hospice and Macmillan.
