We are due to get married here and due to our circumstances of our baby born in November 2019 with a severe medical condition and numerous surgeries and in and out hospital, we have had to change our wedding twice. Sophie has been so helpful and understanding with us and has made us feel at ease and put our minds at rest. Sophie has transferred our wedding twice at no expense to us and been extremely supportive and understanding of our circumstances. Thank you Sophie for everything you have done for us to make a difficult situation a lot easier for us. We can't wait to get married here next year. 💞💞

The staff at Stables Country Club are amazing, even more so through this pandemic! I have changed my wedding date numerous times and have bombarded them with a million emails but they always get back to you so quickly and will accommodate you in anyway they can! They have made it possible for us to get married this year and at minimal stress. Five stars!!!!!! Highly recommend x

The stables has been hit hard by the pandemic. Despite this they have been nothing but accommodating, I have changed my wedding five times now due to restrictions and Sophie and the team could not have been any more helpful. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to spend my special day here ❤️

I've been a member for a couple of years now and have always enjoyed my visits. There are 2 lovely swimming pools, one for lane swimming the other more casual neither of which are ever crowded. Showers and changing rooms are always clean. - even before the current restrictions.

Really big. Actually loved the heated pools and the large pool. The gym had enough equipment and the classes were amazing. Only downside is how expensive it is to be a member per month

Writing on behalf of my husband who had concerns about returning to the gym after lockdown as I am vulnerable however he is very impressed with all the policies and procedures in place, excellent signage posted,immaculate cleanliness and adherence to social distancing rules. Feel safer there than anywhere else visited.........well done to the team!

Good multi facility venue - cafe, gym and pool, saunas etc. Also the classes are well organised - much better since 2020 - we now use a fantastic big room above the reception for pilates / yoga - everything to keep you motivated!

Whilst at brother in laws wake I went to the gents and noticed the dodgy wiring to the hand drier. Extremely dangerous. I have emailed best western who apparently don't deal with the stables and replied promptly suggesting that I should contact the Stables management myself. Surely there is a path for Best western to communicate with the stables over such an important matter, also don't guests of the hotel have access to the facilities at the stables complex? Next stop HSE! SORT IT OUT!!!

I visited this hotel for a short break with my two daughters, the eldest has Aspergers and eating difficulties and the staff were so kind ( particularly Staci) and so accommodating with her difficulties around eating. The hotel is clean and set by a lake with country views and a great swimming pool, not far from bury town centre. Would definitely recommend, especially If you enjoy a swim or have a child with special needs.
