Red Tiger is a fantastic family run club. My son now 9 joined after seeing a demo at school, and hasn't looked back; He's thriving. Great instructors, disciplined but loads and loads of fun. They've continued to give it 110% during lock down, and even managed grading. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a karate club.

My son has been training with Red Tiger for 7 years and my daughter joined in 3 years ago. The club is very family friendly and the support for students from both teachers and other students is amazing. My children have gained so much confidence and made so many friends here. Very highly recommended.

I joined the club back in October, as an apprehensive 60+ individual with no experience of martial arts at all. I have been bowled over by the friendly family atmosphere the club has. I was made welcome right from the beginning, by members of all ages. I now have my Red belt, which I’m really proud of. The standard of teaching is exemplary. The commitment of all the instructors is second to none. Even lockdown hasn’t fazed them. I now take part in classes several times a week and have ‘met’ most of the instructors. I am now fitter and more flexible. I thoroughly recommend the Red Tiger Karate Club to everyone.

Fabulous family karate club. Red Tiger is well run, with lots of classes on offer every weekday evening all over the Greater Manchester area, so it’s really easy to find a class that suits. They also have professionally organised grading events, inter-club competitions and other training events. It’s a very welcoming and friendly club. My son trained here and I train here also, I would definitely recommend.

My son started attending classes at his school in Horwich, Bolton in September 2019 and after sitting on the side watching for a week or so - I joined in myself and have never looked back!
The classes strike a great balance between the traditional values of Shotokan Karate along with having lots of fun and it's plain to see that the club has a strong family feel and is truly inclusive in their outlook (with teaching catered around the individuals within the group).
All the instructors I have encountered have been very friendly, extremely knowledgable and full of energy - making learning easy, but most of all...really enjoyable!
The club is run in a very enthusiastic and professional manner; which is evident in the events I have attended and has really shone through during the COVID-19 lockdown with the swift introduction of online lessons and gradings (along with additional keep fit and challenges).
Fees are very reasonable and are paid on a pay as you go basis (although standing orders etc are accepted), with several discounts for multiple training and family members training in the same sessions.

My family and I started training with Red Tiger Karate Club after my son watched a class on a saturday morning in Darwen Leisure Centre.

I didn't really know what to expect from a martial arts club, but it wasn't until after I achieved by blackbelt, and felt I wanted to try a different martial art to compliment my karate... that I truly undestood how lucky were were to find Red Tiger Karate Club.

I have now heard so many upsetting stories from others outside of the club of bad experiences they have had with dojos, from high training costs, "up front payment of £££s to "guaranteee you a black belt", to poor quality teaching and borderline bullying behaviour.

Red TIger Karate Club is friendly, well run, and professionally managed, but still has that "family feel". Whether you are looking for a way for your child (or even yourself) to gain confidence, make friends, get active, or even if you have goals to become a future karate competitor, Red Tiger, and it's links with Japan, the EKF and WKF means there is something for everyone.

If youre in the North West and you are interested in starting karate - there is nowhere better than Red Tiger Karate Club in my view.

My son joined Red Tiger Karate Club to help him with his self confidence. We weren’t sure if it was going to be “his thing” but we suggested he give it a try and wow has he grown! We are so glad he did give it a go! Never looked back from the first moment he set foot in the dojo.

He now can’t get enough of Red Tiger Karate Club! This is all down to the encouragement, support and guidance given by all the senseis and leaders.

It is a lovely family club where the students are people and not just numbers. The club genuinely do care and can’t do enough to help every individual with anything they need.

I can not say anything negative about this karate club. My son has been now a member for 2 years and absolutely loves everything he does with them. The club is so professional, and the people who run it (Paul/Rachael) do absolutely everything possible to make sure it runs smoothly, professional and as much fun as possible for the students and parents. If your thinking of joining, sending your son/daughter here i would highly recommend this, and you will not be let down. I promise you that! My family have been training with Red Tiger for over 6 years now, initially we started because one of our twins was having issues at school, karate has really helped with focus, discipline and confidence. Red Tiger are a very family orientated club and you will find many families training together throughout the many Dojos. I’ve been training with Red Tiger for three years along with my two daughters. The club creates a really positive and inclusive atmosphere, and there are classes all over Greater Manchester. They have a ‘pay as you go’ payment structure (although you can pay monthly as well). All the senseis are excellent, and they regularly put on special events and training courses with guest instructors. During lock down they’ve put together an amazing roster of online classes and kept up brilliant community spirit.

Red Tiger Karate is a fantastic family friendly club. My daughter has been training nearly 10 years with them, nothing is ever too much trouble, wonderful helpful instructors who take the time to teach and guide their students to achieve their next belts. Annual events include RTK competitions, Ultimate training weekends away in Wales, Student of the Year Awards to name a few. They hold a lot of training courses which include Japanese instructors, Team GB athletes. I’m so glad we chose Red Tiger, and the friends we have made along the way. Professional, caring, and hard working owners are Paul & Rachael.

About 2 1/2 years ago my son, who was 8 at the time had the urge to learn karate... a few months later we received a flyer promoting Red Tigrer Karate at a local school - as the saying goes "The rest is history".

I wanted my son to experience karate and we agreed that if he enjoyed it and kept it up for a few weeks he could join - he then countered with "But you have to join also"

Fast-track to today and I can't see us ever stopping.... my son's list of achievements and accolades in such a short time has made me extremely proud.

My son thouroughly loves his karate and a lot of that is down to the culture of the club, the quality of the sensei, the students and the parents who all contribute to making RTK a fantastic club.

As for me, well, I'm always playing catch up to my son who is way ahead of me but I'm slowly catching up 🤣 OSS
