We booked here as I received an email about bogof party tickets in January. This was going to work out £22 for two tickets which included the naughty 90's party ticket and a three course meal included. We thought why not it would costs us more for that in Liverpool.

We booked rooms and all stayed over (a party of 6 of us)
We ate in the public house and had several drinks when we arrived which were lovely and service really good considering they were so busy.

Checked into our rooms which were all lovely, nicely refurbished. Only problem with my rooms is there was still pubic hairs in the shower area. I washed them away myself as we had got our rooms very cheap and I didn't want to spoil it for people complaining. Everywhere else was clean and the bed was super comfy.

All in all we had a great little break away, the food at the party night was lovely, staff and service was perfect, it was just a Dj for the entertainment but it was all we needed.
Would definitely stay here again.

One more problem is that I was charged an extra £5 for one room and despite emails I haven't had a proper answer why, will keep chasing this though.

By the way for breakfast it's a great selection but if your a veggie person like me it's a massive let down that they no longer serve hash browns 😒

The rooms should be checked before guests check in. Such a shame because the cleanliness needs attention. The staff on front of house , restaurant and in the public house were extremely attentive. Commendations to those !

The hotel offers an upgrade for an extra £20 you can have a Club room. I booked one of each, standard and club, and the rooms were identical in every respect except that the club room had a coffee maker. Access to the pool and gym is free to guest no matter what room type you have. The decor is very dark giving the hotel a feeling of dinginess. We found it difficult to work in the rooms due to the low light levels. Bring ear plugs as there is a lot of road noise

I couldn't believe how dirty the floor was in the restaurant. I've since read similar reviews about dirty floors so I would really suggest you take note. I tried not to think about what the kitchen might be like. Plastic menus are not desirable but if you are going to use them, then give them the odd wipe. The whole dining experience was a bit of a joke tbh.
Standing room only for business people, who wanted somewhere to sit, meet and work in the morning. Might be worth taking the opportunity to get more seats and encourage them to stay.
Bedroom was nice and clean! While I am all for atmospheric lighting though, it would be good to have the option of fuller lights too as there were times when I actually needed to see what I was doing. Using the torch on my phone seemed a bit extreme, but necessary!
Some communal areas really did look tired, if there is anyone selling paint in Bury I'd suggest you hot foot down there, plenty of touching up to do.
The pool was lovely and the steam room fabulous. But the high price point meant that I had higher expectations and was therefore really disappointed.

Had a great stay, meal was beautiful, the room was a bit dated and dark due to lack of adequate lighting, fantastic breakfast, would stay again the only fault was a mix up with the invoice on departure stating we had drinks in the restaurant when we hadn't ( we took drinks in from the bar area) but after a quick phone call looks like has been sorted
