Chris, Paul and Chris B very kindly came and moved everything. They put stuff in the rooms we said and were in and out in much less then the quoted time! Very professional and excellent service. Highly recommended for others to use this company.

I wrote an email directly to the hotel following my stay 10 days ago, but have since heard nothing back and this has prompted me to write the review. We had upgraded to an upper deck room, and checked in at 3pm. When we arrived into the room there were crumbs on the floor on the far side of the bed, and also on the bedside table. The spa treatments we had were lovely, could not fault the staff. Pool facilities also good. Went back up to our room and found that the glasses in the bathroom were not too clean, and the seals on the Strathmore water bottles were broken. There was also not a Bose speaker dock as stated as included in the upgrade. Dinner was great and the staff were lovely, although forgot our mayonnaise (asked twice, was fine without). The next morning the cleaners were in the next room at 9.30am, with the music on loudly in the room and banging around. When we checked out the following morning, reception was too busy to discuss our issues with the receptionist; hence sending the email afterwards... Disappointed that have not had a reply. Despite these issues the stay overall was pleasant and relaxing.

Good pool and gym but everything else is just very average. I use this hotel for business because it's close to my office and therefore very convenient. The village hotel in Ashton ( a short trip up the M60) is a little better but only just.

A short break away with my partner. Every need was catered for, the room was stunning, the food was plentiful and delicious. one tiny tiny issue was the view from our room that had tyres floating in the stream next to the hotel, however this isn't the hotels problem and did not in the slightest devalue out stay. We loved every second of it and will definitely be returning. Thank you to the Village hotel!

Good clean hotel, friendly staff. Some noise from a wedding party. We enjoyed the food, upper deck room location. We have stayed in village hotels in other places and the quality of service is always excellent.

Fantastic treatments, the therapist are all so professional and friendly, Sophie is my personal favourite, but they are all really good.the only down side is the relax room as its small and not that relaxing, there are not enough beds and it's a bit claustrophobic. But the treatments are great!!!

Stayed here over the 1st May Bank Holiday. There was a BH deal on for 2 nights B&B with Dinner on first night included- very good value.
Self check-in system sort of worked, but needed staff intervention because we wanted 2 room keys- please add this to the check-in system.
We paid a little more to be upgraded to a 'Upper Deck' room- I'm not sure it's worth it. The room was in the separate building block (linked by an internal bridge). This made it quiet, but with the current refurb in the main building it's a trek from reception.
The room looked like it had been recently refurbed but with some lack of attention to detail, the lock to the bathroom wasn't fitted, the toilet seat was wonky, no hooks in the bathroom, no place to dry swimwear, no bath (replaced by trendy walk in shower which soaks the bathroom door and floor), no place to plug in your phone or tablet to the TV to watch movies etc.
The included dinner was good from a limited menu. Breakfast was ok, some food items felt a bit low budget.
Special mention for the excellent free WIFI, probably the fastest I've come across.
The hotel was busy during our stay due to a number of functions and events. It was impossible to find a quieter area to chat to friends.
Pool and Gym was as good as usual.

I tend to alternate between staying here and the Norton Grange Hotel. After this visit to the Village, I think it's returned to be my preferred choice.

Another excellent stay at the Village, Bury. Stayed on first floor room, which was superb, with huge Smart tv, very comfortable double bed and gorgeous long settee. Again, the staff were excellent and went above and beyond the call of duty on Monday morning when they arranged for some takeaway breakfast and tea for my coach trip back to Northern Ireland. Super friendly staff, who genuinely went out of their way to cater for me.
