I am on business a lot in the north Manchester area. This is by far the best hotel in the area. Great Leisure club especially the huge pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi. The Spa treatments were fantastic and really relaxing. Great staff who always go that extra mile to ensure I had a comfortable stay.

An overnight trip with friends to go shopping in Bury.
Receptionist really very pleasant and helpful. The room, a family room was a good size with a King size bed and sofa bed. Not enough tea and coffee but more were brought up when requested. A little tired looking as were the towels in the bathroom.
The Victory bar was ok - all a bit geared to non residents watching football however the food was very good. The lounge area was more open than I had expected but was comfortable all the same to sit and chat over a drink.
Breakfast really good a lot of choice, both hot and cold, good hot coffee and again great helpful staff.
All in all an average experience - would I stay again - possibly.

Just returned home this morning from a girls night out celebrating big birthdays. Stayed over. Price excellent. Room good, very clean as you would expect, plenty of room for three, good sized bathroom. Good sleep. Only thing to mention corridors a bit of a rabbit warren but no real issue. Good food, decent portions, excellent breakfast and staff all pleasant helpful and cheerful. Definitely recommend for good party night out. No doubt we will return in the future.

Perfectly acceptable if you are a business person expecting a conference hotel. I didn't use the Spa or gym but have stayed here twice for a meeting on the premises. it wouldn't be my choice if that wasn't the case. The rooms are practical , standard and basic with toiletries that are on the walls to save costs. Tea making facilities in the room are fine. The breakfasts are standard but lack variety and freshness in the cooked range. Not enough fresh fruit variety for me! The duvets will be lovely in the winter but much too hot now that it is spring! Average evening meal. Bar not single professional female friendly, very male/football orientated. I found the wifi erratic!

I stayed here for one night on business. It is well sited for Manchester as well as the towns north of the city being right next to the M66 connections for anywhere in the NorthWest. The room was a good size and the bed comfortable unfortunately I did not have time to take advantage of their leisure facilities but I am told they are good.

Stayed a Friday night at the Village Urban Resort and we were very happy with our choice of hotel.

The location is excellent - almost adjacent to the motorway, the car park is huge and free and the hotel itself offered everything we wanted for our stay.

A few days prior to our visit we received a courtesy call from the hotel enquiring if we needed any additional information or to book a restaurant table which we thought was a nice touch. On arrival the lady on reception was very welcoming and friendly and explained everything available in the hotel. Our room was a good size and was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The bed itself was extremely comfortable and a nice addition was blinds in addition to curtains which kept the room nicely dark and enabled us to have a pleasant lie-in.

The buffet breakfast offered everything we could have wanted and the items available were all good quality and freshly prepared. Sadly due to the lie-in, we didn't have the time to use the leisure facilities - hopefully next time.

The bed room had Gray painted walls, and the lighting in the room had a black lamp shade on it.
The sink taps were loose and there was some black mold around the sink.

The main stairs were so badly illuminated that the it was dangerous. The restrunraunt was also very badly lit and the food selection on the fixed price three course menu was unimaginative and lacked resonable choice.

The level of sound from doors slamming shut and the noise from the bar area in the bedroom was very high.

Used this hotel purely for bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and fit for purpose. the staff were very pleasant and helpful. the breakfast was buffet style with a wide and varied selection. There was also an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and fitness gym.

We had a very comfortable quiet night here with a good hearty breakfast in the morning followed by a relaxing swim and sauna/ jaccusi , it was clean and staff were very helpful . Will go back our only disappointment was that we couldn't get a hot chocolate during at night due to the hot drink machine not working .
