Booked a night as a birthday treat for my partner. Got talked into a upgrade by receptionist - essentially £20 for Sky TV. 'Softer beds and bigger room' apparently. Can't compare beds of course - but it was comfortable - but bigger was entirely pointless ...unless you wanted to dance a jig.

The 'bigger' part was a large open space with a couch on one wall and mirror on the opposite. A table might be a good idea, especially if you fancy room service. Wouldn't advise it though as, apart from cold (cooling), the food was pretty lame. Expensive but lame ....and really comfortable chomping away on the bed. Larger room? Waste of space. Literally. Waste of money. Definitely.

Add to all that that room was too warm, making it difficult to sleep, and pretty noisy, won't be staying again.

Only positive was leisure facilities of pool, sauna,, steam room etc. Good stuff.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The facilities are superb, and the pool mind-boggling.
The room was well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. I was also delighted to find the bath was of sufficient length that I could actually recline fully in it, something that's pretty rare these days, I find.
The evening meal was very good, and reasonably priced - I had an excellent fillet steak that was cooked to perfection.. Again, friendly and helpful waiting staff.
The only downsides were the (admittedly free) wifi slowing to a dead halt during the course of the evening, and the fact that the bar had three televisions showing some football match or other, with the volume set to just below World War Three, and it was a tad difficult to find a spot where I could enjoy a reasonably quiet pint.
Notwithstanding the above minor gripes (the wifi did behave itself later on in the evening), I can thoroughly recommend this hotel

I stayed again for another Super Josh event, this time I had an upper deck room and whilst I wasn't too happy about the smell of paint, because it upsets my asthma, I had a very comfortable sleep! - though a step ladder would have been nice! There were issues with the phone, so I did miss my allocated massage, but staff managed to rearrange this as I had not had my alarm call.

Stayed here for the night and can't wait to go back! Arrived to a very friendly receptionist offering Buck's Fizz, rooms are clean, very warm and inviting with an extremely comfy bed! Had paid for the upper deck room so the added extras of tea/coffee and full sky package were very welcome. Pool and spa facilities and staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant staff very professional and friendly, again, couldn't do enough for you, even allowing us to take dessert back to our room to enjoy later! Food was exceptional, both the evening meal and the buffet style breakfast. All in all a fab stay for us, can't wait to go back.

Stayed hede a few times andI love it, it has a pool, gym, great restauramts and bars, staff are friendly accommodating and conversational.

The Village is often fully booked as it is so popular locally as well as with business people during weekdays, famous people stay here too, I saw Nicholas Lyndhurst here in August with his family and colleagues, (rodders from Only fools and Horses)

The breakfast is fabulos and family have had special occasions meals in the restaurant, at weekends it has a party atmosphere and wedding events.

The wifi can be tricky to log onto so use 10.0.0.1 the ip log on page, it was fab after that, very fast in rom 188 and all ground floor. Once you log on downstairs its fine in your room too.

I wish we were able to use the tv in room to connect xbox as it has scsrt, hdmi, avi inputs but they are disabled.

Tip.... the switch above heated towel rail is an alarm so dont press it.

I highly reccommend the Village you will love it too. Kids love it too.

Checked in and were given a very old and tired looking room, that was a bit grubby.
Went down to ask to be moved, Anastasia apologised profusely and put us in an Upper Deck room.
Room was spacious, comfortable, clean and the Starbucks & Sky package was a lovely touch.
The hotel gym is one of the best I have ever seen, masses of Cardio Equipment, Toning Tables, and a nice free weights section.
Had a spa treatment, which was brilliant, can't remember the therapists name, but she was lovely and very good at her job.
Loved being able to get a Starbucks before my early morning meetings.
Will 100% stay here again.

Motown themed night with family and friends for birthday night out. For the price this was atrocious value and seriously disappointing. The food was the worst I have ever been served and virtually inedible. The service was very poor ,seating was uncomfortable and meal was late. The entertainment was unremarkable.
We had previously enjoyed the hotel's carvery and found it good value and standard so what went wrong on this occasion?

Good place to stay for a wedding or party. Bit old not flash but in a good location off the motorway. Plenty of carparking. The reception staff were welcoming. The hotel was cosy with big rooms. You can catch a football match in the bar with sky tv. Bar prices very reasonable.Breakfast was good quality but service a bit poor. Its ok if breakfast is leisurely. The swimming pool looked good but didn't make it .All in all the wedding made the stay great but at best this is a good three star with facilities

4 of us stayed in this hotel last saturday on a spa break deal. We had 2 treatments each in the spa the staff were lovely. We had a 3 course meal in the evening which was delicious and our waitress Sophie was so helpful and friendly. And breakfast the following morning was brill, lots of variety and excellant service again. The only minor criticism i could find was that the carpets throughout were looking very tired which is no big deal and didn't effect our stay. Any staff we came across were friendly and we enjoyed our stay so much so my husband and i are booking into the nottingham hotel!!

We got a cheap deal through bookings.com.
Glad we did the place has an excellent pool and spa facility. Everywhere was dig lit and it soon became clear that this was to hide the overall tiredness of the place. The room was ok in the dim light and the bed was dead comfy. Breakfast was great too and the staff were pleasant enough. We had dinner in the Victory Pub attached which wS average for food and very tired for decor although the girls that attended us were very pleasant indeed. Overall because we got a deal it was alright but had we paid the full price I would not be a happy bunny at all.
