On Sunday 29th June 2025, supporters of Bury Hospice are invited to take on an exhilarating challenge and brave the drop from the stunning Trafford Palazzo at the Trafford Centre.
Participants will abseil an incredible 170ft, supported every step of the way by professional instructors from Big Bang Experiences, who will ensure the experience is both thrilling and safe. This unique event offers individuals the chance to push their limits while raising vital funds to support the compassionate care provided by Bury Hospice.
The event requires a £25 registration fee, and each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship. Every contribution helps Bury Hospice continue to deliver essential care to patients and families across the community.
All registered fundraisers will be supported by the hospice team, who will provide guidance with sponsorship, a Bury Hospice t-shirt to wear on the day, and ongoing encouragement leading up to the event.

Participant Restrictions:
Must be aged 11 or over
Cannot participate if pregnant or under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs
Those with certain medical conditions—such as high blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy, asthma, or musculoskeletal issues—must seek medical advice before taking part and may need to sign a non-standard waiver
Participants aged 50 or over are strongly advised to consult with a medical professional prior to the event.
Additional Requirements:
Maximum weight limit: 120kg (18.9 stone)
Harness sizing: Waist sizes between 40cm (15.7 inches) and 125cm (49.2 inches)
