I live locally and decided to spend a night here just for a change - what a great hotel! We only paid £39 for a double room for the night which isn't expensive anyway. The room was very clean, decor very tasteful and the view of the fields from the window was beautiful. There was entertainment on, by way of a female singer who was very pleasant to listen to. We dined in the Legends restaurant Saturday evening, and for Sunday lunch. The food was absolutely fantastic! No complaints whatsoever, some of the nicest food we have ever eaten. Worthwhile staying for Sunday lunch as this allows you to stay in your room until 4pm. We will be returning without doubt, and would recommend this hotel above anywhere in the area.

We got the cheap deal by booking online. To be honest I would have paid full amount! It was brilliant! The hotel is modern, very clean and stunning decor. The rooms were fantastic! All needs catered for. Flat screen tv, amazing bathroom qnd shower, Free wifi in the whole hotel. The building is warm and so ar the rooms but seriously all you need to do was turn your radiator down in the room. So no one should complain its too hot or cold! The nights sleep was fab! Very comfy bed. Our breakfast was amazing. So much choice of food. I will be staying here again and will recommend the hotel to all friends and family! A top hotel!

We've stayed here many times as we have family in the area. The rooms are well decorated and lovely and clean. If you are in a double room at the front of the hotel then you will have plenty of space for luggage etc, however if you are at the back of the hotel then it can be quite claustrophobic with not much room for things. Having said that we have stayed here on 4 different occasions and have only been in one of the smaller rooms once.

There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and the bathrooms are well appointed with soap etc. All in all we really like the hotel and it's always our first choice as it's a really lovely place. Other reviewers have said that the rooms are too hot, this can be true but you have control over the radiator in your room so turning it down solves this problem.

stayed here for a friends wedding at christmas ,what can i say ? the public area's were very hot ,& the room we stayed in was unbearably hot ,resulting in not much sleep ,you can open the window ,but i would not recommend it as the room back's on to the fields ,the food was ok ,the drinks prices were reasonable ,but watch your change as we were short changed twice by the same girl ,coincidence ?all we got was sorry ,,yeah right ,bet you were ,would we stay here again ,?no ,£75 per night ,there are cheaper alternatives ,the rooms are not very big ,and you might bump into the dressing table .

I used to stay in chain hotels as part of my job which entails weekly hotel stays each week. I tried the Red Hall the middle of last year and have been hooked ever since! The service is outstanding and the food is some of the best I have ever tasted. Only a small hotel but that is to its credit because they have retained the personal touch and nothing seems too much trouble. Can't recommend highly enough.

The Red Hall Hotel is a modern stone-clad low-built place of no architectural distinction in a pleasant country setting - over breakfast we were able to watch a sheepdog round up its flock in the field at the back of the hotel. A recent refurbishment has produced a place of limited character, but broadly speaking it works. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Missing items - soap and a broken light bulb - were dealt with promptly by the helpful staff. The bedroom lighting was absurdly low-level, making it impossible to read after dark, while the bathroom lighting was dazzlingly (and unflatteringly) bright, Why? Breakfast was disappointing. Ordered items failed to arrive and what did arrive had clearly been cooked a long time before and left under a lamp to shrivel. Other than that, the £70 we paid seemed reasonable value. Not a place to stay at for long, but not bad for what it is.

This looks like a new-build private hotel but it is refurbished. Staff, all pleasant and helpful, the hotel, clean bright and comfortable. The room and en suite was nicely furnished with all the usual facilities and a view across the fields from my room. The food was excellent. Innovative but still with a list of familiar favorites that will satisfy all. My only moan was, I was there for one night so choosing the food was a nightmare! This is serious food, the range and ideas are excellent and they know how to 'plate-up' so it looks it's best. This was a one night business trip. I will be back for a long weekend with my wife at some point. Honestly, I can't wait to get back to this one.

Stayed Here for one night with our son. The hotel is lovely, very clean and modern. The decor in the room was very nice and the bathroom was spotless. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. We had drinks in the bar which had a good atmosphere and was fairly busy.Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room overlooking the surrounding countryside and the quality of the food was good but portions could have been slightly more generous on the full english.Overall it was a great hotel and we would definitely return.

Up in the area on a Business Trip with other colleagues, arrived late-ish on a Sunday evening, very speedy check in, no issues what so ever. Rooms are bright and airey and well equipped, nice modern bathroom with an excellent shower, perfect after a day out at work. Fantastic views from the room, overlooking the countryside.
Ate in the bar last nite at about 9.15pm, good quality food and quick service, all food and drink is reasonably priced. Breakfast this morning was buffet style for cereals and pastries, the full cooked breakfast is done to order and was very tastey. I have one more nigh here and am confidently posting my review before i leave. If you're in the area I would recommend a stay. Room 22.

We stayed there on Sat 29th of October, and both of us were absolutely delighted with our stay. The champagne afternoon tea with sandwiches and mini cakes was delicious, as was the room service we got and breakfast the next day.

The hotel was refurbished 3 years ago, and still looks brand new. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable and clean. Plus the towels were really fluffy.

We didn't really explore the surrounding areas, but the hotel it's self was lovely. We agreed we'd both stay there again.

We attended a friends celebration in the Bury area & needed to stay overnight in a hotel which wasn't too far from the venue.
Having searched the various Hotel booking sites, the Red Hall Hotel was consistently reviewed as being a nice place to stay.
Having reserved for one night, we weren't disappointed with the location, standard of accommodation & value for money.
The rooms are quite spacious, spotlessly clean & well appointed.
The breakfast was inclusive of the price & served at table, not 'Buffet or Self-Service'. The staff were very pleasant & responsive to our needs.
All in all we weren't disappointed with our stay at the Red Hall Hotel & would recommend it as a good value & quality place to stay.

We got married at the Red Hall hotel on 17th September 2011 and couldn't praise the hotel and staff highly enough.
Everyone of the staff made it a stress free and enjoyable day. Warren in particular took everything in his stride and ensured a smooth flow to the day.
All our guests commented on the quality of the food and the ambience of the hotel.
All in all we couldn't have asked for better

I did not stay at the hotel but dined there one evening. The food was of the highest standard at a reasonable price. The abience of the retuarant was excellent as was the service. The hotel was spotless. I asked if could see a room for future reference the room I was shown was well appointed and spotlessly clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I've just come back from staying here for my cousin's wedding. To be honest, we weren't expecting much as the room rate was so cheap. But we were pleasantly surprised! The check process was quick and easy (early check in wasn't a problem!). The room was fabulous! Everything was newly refurbished, nice tea & coffee facilities and a lovely bathroom too (with a great shower).
During the wedding the staff were really well organised and very polite. The food was really good too.
The only disappointment was that breakfast finished at 9.30 so we missed that due to sleeping in - our own fault really!

Next time I'm in the area, I know where I'm going!

Have just stayed at the Red Hall for a friends wedding and was very impressed with the excellent customer service and cleanliness of the hotel.
Received a nice welcome, took our things to the room and went to the bar to relax; very good, courteous and friendly service from a lovely young lady called Claire who is a great asset to the hotel.Claire was already at work when we booked-in at noon and was still in good humour 13 hours later and is to be commended for the way she looks after guests.

Room was immaculate and well-appointed, very comfortable bed, lots of space. Had the full English breakfast next morning which was good, plenty of choice and again very efficient and speedy service yet we were never made to feel hurried.
Have just returned from a stay in a 4 star hotel in Sicily and the Red Hall was equally as good, well done and we'll definitely be back, thank you all.

Stayed for one night only with my colleague visiting the East Lancs steam railway at Bury was a good location. The twin room was clean and spacious enough.Evening meal in the restaurant was good and enjoyable with courteous staff.Full english breakfast was available with alternative such as scrambled egg with smoked salmon.Booked the hotel with advance non refundable booking(£70.00 instead of £85.00......Bed and Breakfast).Would recommend the Red Hall hotel to others but remember they have wedding receptions as they state in in the web site(They had one on the Friday night whilst we were there but did not spoil our stay or our sleep)

.This was a special occasion for myself and my family We booked a table in the Legends resaurant. At first it was great then a party arrived in the bar area and they were then seated in the restaurant eating bar food. This is not acceptable. If people book to eat in the restaurant they do not want noisy people sitting right next to them.,. I su[ppose this could happen anywhere, if the restaurant is not that busy but I would not recommend for a special occasion. The food was very good however

We stayed at the Red Hall for a friends wedding (17 July) the hotel is immaculate from the car park onwards. The rain was pouring all weekend so guests were congregating outside the front door to smoke, this was the only place that ash and glasses were seen but not for long!!!! everything was cleared nearly as soon as it was left. The staff could not be faulted or fazed nothing was too much trouble for this happy crew, from reception to bedrooms and kitchen they were amazing all smartly dressed and happy at there work. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed where the bedroom staff could be working on reception and not look out of place. Smart, clean and very presentable be proud of yourselves all who have anything to do with this hotel.

The staff at this medium sized hotel can't do enough for you. We held our wedding reception here and the venue exceeded our expectations. The food is amazing and of an extremely high standard without being overpriced. Each of our guests that stayed at the hotel (We booked about 20 rooms in total) had a fantastic guest experience. The breakfast should not be missed with local sourced products. Warren the function manager is extremely professional and thinks of absolutely everything.

The venue is also extremely disabled friendly with access to most areas in the hotel very easy. I have no reservations at all in recommending this hotel.

We were going to book a meal at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary, as it was in easy reach by taxi. However, we discovered that the hotel had a stunning offer for rooms on a Sunday evening, and decided to make a night of it! The room & breakfast cost not much more than a return taxi!
The hotel has been refurbished and extended and is tastefully decorated.
Our room was clean, comfortable and warm, with a comfortable bed. En-suite had a great power shower over the bath and efficient underfloor heating as well as a heated towel rail!
The public areas are pleasant, and the staff friendly and helpful.
Our meal in the restaurant was good and the atmosphere pleasant. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and good quality food. The service was also good.
If I had any gripes, it would be that the tea making facilities in the room could do with more stock (only 2 tea bags & 1 packet of biscuits in a double room) & 2 eggs with the breakfast would have finished it off nicely. However, if those are our only complaints, it's pretty good! The hanging baskets, tubs and grounds also deserve a mention as they are beautiful and everywhere is kept looking tidy and well looked after.
All in all, a great way to spend an evening away and stunning value for the room. We will definitely return!

We travelled from Kent for my nephews wedding on the 7th may , the staff could not do enough for you, we stayed for 3 nights all of the food and service was the best, everyone was so friendly .
The countryside was really stunning all of the views are great ,a great place for weddings /conferences they cope so well, three of the people on our table did not eat what was on the menu it was no trouble the Groom spoke to the manager he changed the meal for them no problem, it all came out at the same time really brilliant.
We would recomend this hotel to anyone .
