A Bury ice cream parlour with real farm roots
This isn’t a standard “pick a tub and go” setup. Jersey Girls Dairy are based at Higher Woodhill Farm in Bury, making their ice cream on site using milk from their own Jersey herd. That’s the magic, it tastes fresh, it tastes creamy, and it feels like a mini day out even if you only popped in for a quick scoop. Even better, they’re close by to Burrs Country Park, so it’s perfectly placed if you fancy a walk first (or after), then a well earned cone.

Handmade ice cream, changing flavours, and something for everyone
One of the best bits is the flavour choice, it’s not the same old, same old. The menu changes, so there’s always something new to try, and they are known for a wide range of options, including gluten free and dairy free choices too. Want a classic cone? Easy. Feeling brave? Try a flavour you’ve never heard of and see what happens. Worst case, you’ve still got ice cream, so you can’t really lose, can you?

More than just cones and tubs
Alongside their artisan ice cream, you can also grab a brew, a cold drink, and a sweet treat like cake or brownies, perfect if you’re making it a proper catch up. The farm setting makes it popular with families, dog walkers, and anyone who just fancies a slower pace for half an hour.
Events, parties, and ice cream on the move
Jersey Girls also offer fun extras for the community, including children’s parties and a vintage ice cream bike that can be hired for events. Handy if you’re planning something local and want a crowd-pleaser that feels a bit different.
