Had a fantastic day at The Hamers Arms fantastic Manager Jonathan Wolstenholme and his staff who looked after us all. Food was fantastic and service was top notch a great Traditional Local Pub in a great location, a great day/evening was had by all hawks that attended.

A lovely pub, well kept beers and a good selection of them. The landlord is a top bloke that couldn't do enough for his customers. He stayed calm under the pressure of a busy afternoon. His staff were equally as pleasant and helpful. The food was top notch. Comfortable inside, the military memorabilia on display was very interesting, and a shady beer garden were the icing on the cake of my visit.
Highly recommended.

A promising start, food and service was great at first, but for the last few times we've been here service and food have increasingly declined at each visit.
The food was quite dry, at the last visit, we had a sharing platter but left most / didn't enjoy it.
Service is bizarre, the lady in charge always seems to offer random unprompted excuses such as - "sorry service is slow I have the wrong dress on / sorry I couldn't take your order I've been sweeping confetti in the kitchen / apologies for the service I'm really ill today with laryngitis". Annoying as she is clearly aware of the shortfalls and I really don't want to be served by someone who's "really ill". More bizarrely, at what is likely to be our final visit the manager was preoccupied with emptying and routing through her vast handbag on the bar, whilst the many staff slouched around.
Such a shame, it's a good venue, well decorated and in a good location, let down by inexperienced staff who appear to have little guidance from management.

Just had a lovely sunday lunch for a party of three, with roast pork and a roast beef dinners. The food was fantastic and the staff and venue were wonderful. Would definately recommend and will be going back

Love the breakfast but the paninis was definitely rushed I was assuming you was closing up but still could have been presented better but overall really nice.

After receiving a flyer through the door and living just a few hundred yards away we decided to venture there for lunch. A very welcoming place with friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed our lunch of ciabatta sandwiches and chips in the garden area. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. So glad we’ve discovered The Hamers - we’ll be back.

Recently went the Hamers arms following a recommendation from a friend, we experienced lovely home cooked food, with friendly staff whom could not do enough for you. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed and we would highly recommend others to pay this place a visit.

We went into the Hamers Arms after receiving a flyer through our door last week. We were so impressed with the renovations and the staff, nothing was too much trouble, there is a regular quiz on a Thursday and a live singer on a Saturday along with a list of other offers/events, it’s nice to see some real effort being put in by the new owner, we have missed out on so much over the last few years and now we have somewhere local to walk to and enjoy ourselves again!

We visited the hammers arms last Sunday, their Sunday roast was beautiful, the staff were all really nice and helpful and the pub is now amazing inside, we can’t believe the transformation, we will be going again soon

I recently visited alone and ordered a lovely home made chilli with chips and words cannot even describe how that tasted. The service and wait time for the food was beyond acceptable despite how busy the pub was.
I was absolutely astounded with the quality of the food that I have been back on 4 occasions just to try more. The hunters chicken is to die for and the desserts are literally out of this world
I personally have been back on a number of occasions despite not wanting a meal just to have the desserts. Cannot find a single fault with this newly refurbished and under new management establishment

I came and visited with my family and before I even left my car and entered I saw 1 of the staff talking down the another staff member outside. They both had a smile and were friendly when they saw prospective customers though.
Nevertheless I proceeded to try and enjoy my time here. The staff member who was I assume told off delivered excellent service to us and I would attend again However the lady who gave her a dressing down sat upon a table drinking and watched the staffs every moves. This made me feel uncomfortable.
The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend the fish and chips and the servers who were working did all of this with a smile and managed to turn around my negative first impression. In the interest of complete honesty. I have to say once inside everyone was professional and I thoroughly enjoyed my time inside. I will visit again

We stumbled across this little gem of a tradition pub restaurant and I can honestly say that the beer, food and atmosphere were all excellent, especially the food which was a 10/10 including the kids meals (which I know because a tried theirs as well) and the apple crumble desert was to die for. This is definitely a place that I am saving as a favourite place to revisit in my cars satellite navigation.

Where do l start, lovely location, great staff and food to die for, took my lad for his 18th birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the refurbishment, staff are pleasant and served quickly, food was piping hot but delicious, will definitely be going back.

We went here last Saturday and i must say the place is beautiful, the service was great backed up by nice pub food.
I would expect to get this type of food in a restaurant and pay double what it cost us, we fed a family of 6 for £65 and will definitely go back.

8 of us descended on the Hamers Arms expecting the same dated pub it used to be and we were shocked at the upgrade that its had.
The seating and tables are spectacular, the food was really good value and very nice and as a group we do travel to places but will definitely be magnet dragged back to this little spot, it was great.
There was a big quiz last Thursday and it was really well done, the atmosphere was amazing we will be going back for that soon.

Visited the pub today after its refurb, looks lovely, modern but still cosy. New menu had 3 vegan options on it. I had the burger, really tasty, good crispy pub chips and a lovekt side salad with some vegan coleslaw. My mum had a steak baguette which was really full of steak and very tasty also. Will definitely be back. Friendly staff too. Impressed. Be great if they add a vegan pudding.to the menu.
