Join Culford for the highlight of the 2018 summer season, where London Festival Opera returns to Culford School for another stunning programme of opera, this year featuring staged highlights in costume from Verdi’s masterpiece La Traviata, which was first performed at La Fenice in Venice in 1853. In Part Two, the evening will continue with celebrated arias from the operas of Mozart, Rossini, Bizet and Puccini ending with a patriotic Last Night of the Proms Finale. The performance will be accompanied by a select instrumental chamber ensemble.

Before the performance, and during the interval, guests will have the chance to sample some wonderful food and drinks from our catering stands. Culford’s fully licensed bar will also be in action on the night, serving both alcoholic and soft ice cold drinks.
Guests are able to pre-order a luxury picnic from the end of March. Details of this are to follow so please do check back here for more information.
This year, Opera in the Park will be supporting Culford School students voluntary work in Malawi. This is the 10th year that the school has raised funds for important projects in one of the world’s poorest countries. Last year, staff and students provided support for construction projects including the building of a new hall for an orphanage and laying foundations for a library as well as delivering lessons in literacy and numeracy. Proceeds will go toward this worthwhile cause.
