The meaning of yoga
Defined as 'union', the integration of mind and body, yoga has been around for thousands of years. It is a system of exercise and health which benefits everyone, from babies to adults of any age.

It can give you glowing health and relax your mind, helping to relieve stress and promote positive thinking.

Yoga is non-competitive, so you progress at your own pace.

Stress relief
In today's world, stress can literally strangle your body, making you more susceptible to disease. The postures and breathing awareness in yoga can relieve tension, increase flexibility and strengthen bones and joints. By increasing your oxygen intake you will have more energy and vitality too.

Ante-Natal Yoga Classes
Ante-natal yoga classes at The Self Centre are recommended after 13 weeks. They focus on hip openers, back strengtheners, shoulder and neck relaxers and breathing practices, preparing your body for the birth of your baby.

Post Natal Yoga Classes
From 6 weeks after the birth of your baby, post natal yoga classes at The Self Centre will focus on recovering / strengthening core muscles, re-opening shoulders when feeding, and toning up again. You can bring your baby along too.
