Bring the family to Stowe House this Easter holiday and enjoy a relaxed visit with our Animal Adventure Trail and simple Easter crafts. Search the house for hidden animals, solve the trail and claim a small prize.

Hop over to Stowe House this Easter holiday for a relaxed family day out. During the school holidays we will be running a simple Easter trail and craft activity for children to enjoy as they explore the house.

All activities are included with house admission. Children aged 6 to 16 cost £3, and under 5s go free.

Animal Adventure Trail

Explore the grand rooms of Stowe House and follow our Animal Adventure Trail. As you move through the house, keep an eye out for hidden animal guardians and creatures connected to Stowe’s history. From sneaky snakes in the Egyptian Hall to famous racing horses like Shergar, there are plenty of animals to discover along the way.

The trail has been designed with younger visitors in mind and is suitable for children aged 4 and up. Find all the animals, unjumble the letters and claim a small Easter prize at the end of the trail.

Easter Crafts

While you are exploring the house, stop by our self led craft station.

Children can make and take home their own Easter chick, a simple seasonal activity to enjoy together. It is a lovely way to slow down and spend a little creative time during your visit.

Family Friendly Facilities

We aim to make visiting with little ones as easy as possible. Facilities include:

  • baby changing
  • lift access suitable for pushchairs
  • café
  • dress up and interactive play in the museum
  • picnic tables and lawn space outside the visitor centre

Visiting with Little Legs

We know that a long walk can sometimes feel like a big adventure for smaller visitors.

If you would prefer an easier route to the house, you can pre book your admission tickets and arrange parking closer to the house via a separate entrance to Stowe. This can make visits with young children, pushchairs or wet weather much simpler.

Of course, if you are feeling energetic, you can always enjoy the full walk through the gardens and let the children run off some steam along the way.
