Steve Hills did a painting and decorating job for me at my flat in Lewisham which is let out. I do not live nearby but I knew of Steve's work from a previous painting and plastering job he did for me. Because I am a long way away, I have to be able to trust the workmen who go into my property and I have absolute trust in Steve and his colleagues to do a great job and to treat the property with respect. The work was done to a high standard and finished on time with no hassles. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I asked Steve to come round some years ago to fit 3 sizeable mirrors for us and ever since , whatever the problem, our first (and only ) call is to Steve. He has resolved all our electrical, plumbing issues etc with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency. We have some larger projects coming up and the thought of the work is made a lot easier knowing we can go to someone as reliable as Steve. I cannot recommend Steve highly enough.

Mark and his team have just completed an extension to my house that was started but badly built by a previous builder. His team have done a superb job with the highest quality workmanship. They were polite, tidy, helpful and informative and were always willing to offer suggestions or take on extra jobs. I would recommend them very highly and will certainly use the company again in the future

We would highly recommend Steve and his team. We asked Steve to strip, skim plaster and paint the hall, stairs, landing and main bedroom in our Victorian House. Steve was quick to provide an estimate, gave valued advice, accommodated our additional requests midway through the job and completed the job to a very high standard in the timescales quoted. Very pleased with the results.

Steve and his team did a fantastic job completely renovating our kitchen and dining room. We're thrilled with it and we've been getting a lot of compliments! The work included demolishing an internal wall, fitting underfloor heating and a new wooden floor, new lighting throughout and much more too. Steve was very easy to talk to - I really appreciated his incredibly quick responses to our questions. It's amazing what a difference good communication makes. We asked Steve to do a total rework of out kitchen. This included knocking out a back wall, removing an old set of outside stairs (with an old toilet underneath), moving the soil pipes bricking up old doors, new glazing, electrics, plumbing and a lot more. He and the team completed all this to a very professional standard, on time and on budget and dealt with the snags that an old house can throw up without drama. From start to finish Steve demonstrated first class project management and things came together very well with zero issues. Can't recommend Steve and team enough, Will definitely be looking to use Rutland Building for future work. Robin & Siobhan
