Bromley reaches for the stars at launch of Business Awards
The hunt has now officially started for the ‘stars’ of Bromley’s business community as the Bromley Business Awards aim to discover and showcase the best in the borough.
South London Business formally launched the Bromley Business Awards 2011 at a VIP reception hosted at Rizon Jet’s spectacular new hanger at London Biggin Hill Airport on Wednesday June 8th. The awards, held in association with London Biggin Hill Airport, are a brand new programme developed and organised for the first time in Bromley by South London Business, and are supported by Bromley Council.
A host of top local companies turned out to support the awards launch, including sponsors London Biggin Hill Airport, the Career Development Group, Lloyds TSB, Clarkson Wright & Jakes Ltd, The Warren, XpertHR and The News Shopper.
Robert Walters, Development Manager for headline sponsors London Biggin Hill Airport, which recently launched LoCATE @ Biggin Hill – a 21st century vision for aviation-led economic growth which aims to stimulate business expansion at the site, said the airport was delighted to support the awards.
“There are so many businesses in Bromley which deserve recognition. We hope that the awards will provide the platform to take some of them to new levels, creating new prosperity in the borough of Bromley.
“In these lean times it is fundamental that businesses in Bromley work together with the local and national government to support economic growth. We need value, innovation and jobs. The Bromley Business Awards will help to achieve this, not just in the borough, but in the wider region and nationally.”
Peter Pledger, South London Business’ chief executive, said: “We want these business awards to celebrate the business community in the borough and we hope that they will achieve what we all need, which is to support economic growth and create more jobs.”
