The founders of The White Brasserie Company wanted something different...
They wanted to be able to take it easy in their local pub and be treated well by pleasant people who care a lot. They wanted customers to feel fresh in the summer and snug in the winter, all delivered with a menu to match.
But they struggled to find that perfect location; so they decided to create their own!
And The British Queen in Orpington delivers all that - and more.
They're proud of serving up some mighty fine ales and great lip smacking grub. Now for a little bit of history... the folks at The White Brasserie Company claim that far from popular belief, the idea of a pub is not just British... "pub" actually means brewery and that said establishments emerged when the French’s precious vineyards were being tormented by some nasty disease, and with no wine on offer, the folks across the the channel resorted to beer. And they didn't stop there - we all know there cooking has an excellent reputation, so they coupled it with some nice nosh too!
So what to make of The British Queen in Orpington?
First and foremost it's warm and welcoming with a large bar, inviting dining room and a gorgeous garden to enjoy in the warmer weather.

How to decide on a menu fit for a British Queen?!
To put it simply the chef began by looking for the original recipes to classic dishes. Once they were established, the most popular dishes from Brasserie Blanc were also added (you can see these on the menu marked as BB).
In a nutshell, it's the best of British, with a little inspiration from our friends across the channel.
The menu is a mix of French brasserie dishes with some British pub classics... and puddings to die for - so come and see us soon.
