Celebrating our 125th anniversary in 2012, Brighton & Hove Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Sussex.
Known locally as the Friendly Club, we offer a warm welcome to both visitors and members.
Due to our location, high upon the Sussex Downs, we have exceptional drainage and the course only closes for snow.
Exceptional views across the city of Brighton & Hove to the sea make for a truly memorable round of golf.

East Brighton Golf Club in Brighton was formed in 1893 and in 1908 James Braid (Open Champion five times between 1901 and 1910 and the most sought after golf architect in his day) redesigned the course to basically what you see today. East Brighton offers you a course that rarely closes during the winter, or resorts to temporary greens or tees, due to being built upon chalk subsoil.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly and sociable club, with an ambience to compliment the golf. Although blessed with over 100 years of tradition, with past presidents including dignitaries such as the Marquis of Abergavenny, Earl of Chichester, Field Marshall Earl Haig and the Duke of Norfolk, we have moved readily into the modern era of providing golf for everyone.
A Golf Academy has been established for a while now and is proud to be introducing new golfers to the game and ladies have equal rights on the course. Whilst we believe in maintaining the best traditions of golf, we also provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to members and guests. In the interest of both, the club allows smart casual dress in most parts of the clubhouse.

Welcome to the website for Hollingbury Park Golf Club, a magnificent ex-championship golf course situated on the South Downs in Sussex. With spectacular views over Brighton, the coast and even to the Isle of Wight on a clear day, you will experience a challenging but extremely pleasurable round of golf here. Our chalk-based course boasts outstanding drainage all year round and allows for golf to be played in all weathers.
In April 2010 Hollingbury Park Golf Club became part of the 'Mytime Active' Group, operated in partnership with Brighton & Hove council. For information regarding green fees, societies and season tickets please visit the Mytime Active website.

In 1906 the Dyke Golf Course was formed high on the Sussex Downs, however the current layout was constructed more recently. A complete rebuild was necessary, due to the land being used as a Wartime tank training ground. The new course designed by Fred Hawtree is much longer than the pre-war version and is now a first class test of golf, measuring 6605 yards with a par of 72. As with most downland courses, the difficulty varies with the strength and direction of the wind. At an elevation of 200 metres the views are spectacular in all directions.
The course is generally playable throughout the year, being fast draining and located in an area that enjoys a mild climate.
The club welcomes visitors with handicap certificates and a knowledge of standard golfing etiquette, which is expected both on and off the course. To avoid possible disappointment visitors should contact the professional on 01273 857260 to book a tee time.
