To mark the World Cup, Braintree Village will have ‘Subsoccer’ bench stations – which pit two players against each other in a competitive seated football match - alongside a life-sized football selfie cut-out for the perfect photo opportunity to mark the occasion.
What’s more, a free football extravaganza is set to take place on Sunday 12th July. Headlining the day is freestyle footballer and content creator, Harriet Pavlou, who will be on-site from 10am-5pm performing tricks and hosting workshops where guests can try their hand at freestyle footballing, while Braintree Town FC’s beloved mascot, Buddy, will be making a special appearance to meet fans and pose for photos.
The sporting excitement continues as tennis fans will be able to soak up all the Wimbledon action while visiting the centre. From Monday 29th June - Sunday 12th July, a dedicated station featuring comfortable loungers with built-in mini televisions to screen live matches will be located outside the Nike store.
To complete the viewing experience, guests can pick up free strawberries and white chocolate from 12noon – 2pm on 4th-5th July and 11th-12th July at Cappadocia Moments.
