In August, Care UK’s Chapter House will open their doors to families and neighbours for a food festival, inviting guests to tuck in and celebrate the nation’s shared love of great cuisine, community and connection.

At Chapter House, guests can expect a vibrant food festival on Saturday 8th August from 2-4 pm, brought to life with street food stalls showcasing locally sourced ingredients. Highlights will include a barbeque sourced from a local butchers and cooked by the home’s Head Chef, Shaun. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional home-cooked dish prepared by one of the home’s team members, offering a taste of their cultural heritage.

The event is part of the ‘A Taste of Home’ initiative, which will see all Care UK homes host foodie-themed celebrations and showcase what life in a care home is really like.

Each festival will showcase sustainable, community-focused initiatives while celebrating the diversity and creativity within the homes, from residents’ favourite recipes and traditional dishes to seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients.
