It will be tennis whites, strawberries and sunshine at Care UK’s Beverley Parklands as they open its doors to the community on Sunday 12th July from 1 pm – 4 pm for a day of themed fun, friendly competition and nostalgic memories.
As part of the event, the home will be transformed into a mini Centre Court, complete with decorations, sun visors and, of course, strawberries and cream. Residents, team members and the community will also participate in some gentle tennis-themed activities like swing ball.
Guests can also snack on refreshments, specially prepared by the home’s head chef, Danny, whilst watching live screenings of the matches.
Samantha Atkin, Home Manager at Beverley Parklands, said: “With Wimbledon returning to our screens, we have so many residents excited to watch the matches and what better way to celebrate than hosting our very own themed event for all to enjoy!
“We have a really exciting afternoon of activities planned, plus some delicious food to try. We expect it will be a popular event, and we’d like to encourage people to come and meet the team and see for themselves just how special life at Beverley Parklands can be.
“We’re incredibly proud of the warm and welcoming environment we’re creating and are looking forward to meeting the people of Beverley!”
