Spring is here and the urge, or nudge, to tidy and clear out the house and garden is starting to kick in.
With the environmental troubles we are currently experiencing in the world, it makes sense for us to be a green as possible and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council clearly agree as they have announced the annual Green Week. Running from Saturday 17th through to Monday 26th, Green Week will see visitors and residents take part in all sorts of activities ranging from litter picking, scarecrow making, and even ‘soup fest’.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is supporting residents to take pride in their area following the latest community clean-up in the borough.
There are still some great spring time events running in and around Basingstoke, as well as some great new events.
Half way through the Easter holidays and about to go into the long Easter weekend still hopeful that the weather will improve!
Tickets will soon be on sale (1st June) for the Basingstoke Octoberfest 2013 at the Milestones Museum. A celebration of Hampshire's finest beer, cider, food and crafts and great fun for all the family.
