Brilliant teaching, children are encouraged to learn, play sports and the school value is outward looking.

Basingstoke Networking is an attractive pull to businesses of all shapes and sizes from local and surrounding areas. Together with masses of help from Sherfield Events and attendance of other networking groups such as The Best of Basingstoke, they all put together an amazing evening at Sherfield School.
The Victorian Manor House at Sherfield is an impressive venue & the entry fee was £6.
Nibbles galore, drinks aplenty, more nibbles, more drinks... for £6 seemed like astounding value!
Already thinking that this was the best £6 I had ever spent, next came the speed-networking round where tables of 7 people spend 2 minutes explaining their business & swapping cards. Finish the round and move to another table.
All types and kinds of businesses were there: from architects to reflexologists, IFA’s to driving instructors, accountants to estate agents, NLP coaches to belly-dancers. I kid you not…!
And if that wasn’t enough, then there was a raffle, with all sorts of prizes being won, from champagne to an ipod nano, business coaching to holiday vouchers.
With a final network at the end, I can safely say that this was an excellent evening.
And for £6, you'd be mad to miss it! Looking forward to the next one in December.
I was a pupil at Sherfield between 2007 and 2009, for years 10 and 11 and I definitely wouldn't have got the GCSE results I did without all the amazing teachers there.

Our eldest daughter has shone throughout her school life but 6 months ago it was clear that the standard of teaching in her school was sadly lacking. She applied to Sherfield and thankfully was accepted. Since she has been at Sherfield, she has joined the equestrian team and the netball team and her exam results are pleasing to say the least. She is now getting the standard of teaching she deserves at a well run and highly desirable school.
