From 21 March until 9 June the Archive and Local Studies Centre at Barrow Library will be hosting the First World War memorial plaque from Great Gable which the Fell and Rock Climbing Club erected to commemorate the members of the club who died during the war.

Come join our bellringing team and learn a traditional skill that is rewarding, fascinating, friendly, fun, and free! Suitable for anyone to start from age 12 to pensioners. You do not need to be strong, and people from all walks of life, and any faith (or none) are welcome. Visit on practice night for no-obligation welcome and introduction to what we do, but under 18's or vulnerable adults need parent or guardian to accompany for first visit, and you need to be able to climb a spiral staircase with handrail.
