Blue Door Theatre Company dive into the fascinating life of Charles Dickens with their usual flair of irreverence, pithiness and invention. Blending a lush selection of original live songs by local songsmith Nick Godwin (from The Silencerz) with an original script by Sarah Munford and Claire Fisher, that exploits a Dickensian array of Barnet characters from the 1860’s and explores lesser-known stories of the great man himself.
Directed by Siobhan Dunne and building on the resounding success of their last show Macbeth, Blue Door Theatre Co. aim to produce one devised or original script and a published one per year.
If you have any interest whatsoever in Dickens, local history or just enjoy an evening of great tunes..this show is not to be missed. Some of the characters in this fiction are real!
