An update from Chris Smith from the Friends of Barnet Market

A series of events are taking place in May to encourage new shoppers to visit Barnet Market and see what the re-launched Market has to offer.

If you’ve not visited for a while or ever or, if you know of anyone who doesn¹t regularly shop in the Market, come along and bring them along to see what’s on offer. There are new stalls are joining all the time.

There will be hot and cold drinks and food available on Saturdays and you can sit and enjoy the music. The events that we already know about are as follows:

Saturday, 10th May, 11.00 am

Local favourite Geoff Barrett brings Punch and Judy to the Market

Wednesday, 21st Ray, 11.15 and 11.45 am

Young students from the Susi Earnshaw Theatre School perform WW1 songs and dances

Saturday, 31st Ray, 11.00 am to 2.00 pm

High Barnet¹s first classic car show AND also at 11.00 am another very talented group, Horizon, play some folk and pop.

There will be bands on other Saturdays watch the market notice board at the Waitrose end of the Market for the latest news. The events are being organised by the Friends of Barnet Market in conjunction with Saunders Markets Ltd and the Suzi Earnshaw Theatre School.
